Louise and Peter's Wedding at St James the Great Church, Ewhurst Green

About ten miles north of hastings near Battle on the border between East Sussex and Kent, St James the Great at Ewhurst Green is one of the prettiest little churches I've come across. Inside it has a bright red carpet and a pale blue painted ceiling, along with one of the most interesting chandeliers I've seen. With the choir and bridesmaids dresses in blue it made for quite a colourful spectacle. Outside there are some nice spots around the church for group shots and at the back there are long views over the countryside
Louise and Peter had their reception at a cottage a couple of miles away, starting with drinks in the garden, which was absolutely packed with flowers. A large marquee had been erected at the top of the garden for the wedding breakfast and evening reception with a hog roast. At the end of the evening a little bit of light rain started so I went outside with Louise and Peter do do some shots backlit with remote flashes which makes the rain drops light up like stars. We had been incredibly lucky with the weather, there had been some heavy looking clouds around that hadn't quite made it to us, but had dumped torrential rain down only ten miles away. All in all a lovely relaxed day and a fantastic wedding.
